You can see what remains of the base of the wall around Verbola Fort (top right). The hollow depression that was once a moat ringing the fortress is also visible. The last time the fort was used in war was during the Uprising of St. George's Night in 1343. This Estonian revolt against Danish Rule lasted two years but was eventually suppressed.
